Jo's story

Jo Adetunji

Jo has always been drawn to the chairs nobody else wants: wobbly Victorian balloon-backs, sagging wingbacks and tired French bergères left at the back of the auction room.

In her workshop she strips each one back, repairs the joints, rebuilds the seat and brings the wood back to life by hand. Then comes the fun part: bold fabrics full of monkeys, leopards, parrots and zebras that give every piece a second, wilder life.

No two chairs are ever the same. Each one is a one-off, made to be sat in and loved for another hundred years.
